Why vote for Obama?
There is no doubt that there will be racist that will vote against Obama just for the fact that he is black. There are probably more racist that will vote for him just because he is black. Why would his race have anything to do with how you vote.
I listened to Michael Moore (critical of everything in America) speak the other day and he made the statement that this country needed a woman or blackman as president. He said it has been ruled by white men with nothing but bad results. Is this not the most racist statement you have ever heard. It is equivalent to saying that all blacks are criminals because they have such a high crime rate. If you vote for Obama just because he is black you are a racist. Obama gives good speeches or at least the first couple of times you hear him. The problem with someone who's only talent is good speech is eventually we will bore with him. There should be some substance in his speeches. So far all I have seen is pep rallies. He will not pull the troops out of Iraq as so many of you believe he should. The reason is the majority of congress and the American people don't want it to happen until goals have been met. Do you agree with his economic views? What are they? Please tell me a reason why anyone would want to vote for Obama. |

Why vote for Obama?
He doesn't belong to the GOP. He doesn't wear his religion on his sleeve. It should be said that the GOP is scared to death of Obama. Why? The GOP understands that Obama is the first Democrat in decades, that reeks of being a true Christian, and not just one that babbles about it like Republicans do. That although Obama couldn't get the hard right evangelicals, he should retain the nice slice of evangelicals that left the GOP in 2006 because of all the scandals. That the YOUNGER evangelicals, especially, are not as rigid as their parents or grandparents, and that someone like Obama could appeal to them. The plan was - what would happen to the GOP if Obama was able to KEEP the evangelicals that left them in 2006, and just slice off a little bit more? Game.Set.Match for the Democrats up and down the line. The GOP will be feeding off the bottom for decades to come.
