We shouldnt kill African Americans in lieu of giving them a fair trail, and we shouldnt kill African Americans in lieu of a court precribed jail sentence or freedom. A very conservative approach on your part with regards to dealing with the colored menace, but I fundementally disagree with it. Vote Obama 2008!

Why have courts at all?

Just an extra cost.

You are right, "socialized law enforcement" is an idea whose time is passed. We cannot be our brothers keeper anymore. Let us remove these representatives of a "socialized" system and allow us to handle our own problems our own way.

We can start by addressing reacquiring the gains from their theft from the innocent through made up laws and whimsical interpretations. Interpretations based upon race, gender and economic status. Favor being given to the more successful thieves, those "special interests" that had lunch with their judges....

The Judiciary has the power to stop, or at least slow down, our descent into hell, constitutionally speaking.

Will it rise to the occasion?

Doubt it......
One of the reasons that I have been focusing on damn attorneys and courts. Not just for ourselves but the trends. "They" have been removing the protections from below, something we observed with the Virginia State Bar. This is not a national issue, but it represents a trend that removes incentive for diligent representation, if someone were charged with bogus charges and needed representation. What a judge never hears.....

Then there are the judges themselves, burned out or incompetent. On two occasions I expected that a judgment would be made after hearing both sides of a case. This did not happen, on one occasion a judge went on a rant against the prosecutor for giving me a deal. That judge was upset that they could not keep me in jail for over a year. The other time I had a shouting match with a judge, we heard the oppositions case and were about to present ours (between attorneys). I got out "your honor" to which they claimed that they had heard enough, that judge liked the religious preaching of the opposition counsel. American Kangaroo courts and one wonders why the jails are over populated.

I question the competency of the judiciary, I suspect that it has been populated with those of a certain bias. I am sure that there is some excuse for making a judgment without hearing both sides. What that says for "fair" or "impartial" hearing.....

You are right about the judiciary, though I am hoping for a positive outcome.

Beginning with the Sparf decision back in like 1894, the judiciary has been trying to suppress the role of We The People through the jury process. As a result, today's "citizens" have not a clue of their true power in the judicial system through the jury.
