Okay, now that Tubs has probably been purged again, let me get back to Rall's point. I think it's just one more bit of the normalization process, the stifling and creeping government control of the fourth estate, of things that are clearly unconstitutional. Once the USA Patriot Act was passed the cat was let out of the bag, all in the name of national security, when in reality it's empowerment at all costs of the Executive Branch. It's hardly the first time that Fascists, xenophobes and plutocrats have expressed their desire for an authoritarian state, but I think they're all a lot more strident now than they've been for decades. If we keep this up, we're definitely going down the path of third world authoritarianism.
