All for a good bloodletting, lets bring it on, follow the Bush plan for WWIII. Lets crack this egg and watch events cascade. Send us back to a feudal system where we can take what we want, I know some rich neighborhoods ripe for the plucking. Build a small army and acquire territory from the ashes.

Imagine no more mortgage, credit cards, outsourcing. The community would actually take care of its own, doctors would not have a choice but to care for those in the community, no stupid bloated health insurance company telling them who to treat or not to.

No kidding, if they are going to force the collapse, just do not do it when I am old and too feeble - getting up there as it is.

A fallback is to pack my backpack, select some guns and walk away. "They" win because people "want" something, lose that and "they" have no control.

Actually that is the mistake that "they" are making, "they" are removing hope presented by opportunities. When those are gone, then the rule "out of chaos there is opportunity" applies.

Flip the coin, what type of society do "they" want....

They are not content with the working poor, aka wage slavery, of the current system. They want total domination and control of all aspects of our existence. It has taken a long time to destroy American's ability to fend for themselves, but we are almost there.

The middle class is now on the brink of collapse after having completed the transition from Citizen to Consumer. How many middle-class people have the knowledge any more of how to grow their own food? Build their own shelter? And if they do, how many actually have enough land to do it? We as a nation have become as dependent as children on our govt for our very survival.

And you're right. This is nothing like the America I grew up in and it sucks. If it's time for a bloody revolution, I say the sooner the better. I wonder how many National Guardsmen and Soldiers would really be willing to mow down their friends and neighbors if Baby Bush, or whoever the next corporatist swine in the oval office is, tells them to?

Let the Republican sheep rationalize about how safe we are now that every move we make, every phone call, e-mail, text message, ATM-credit card purchase is scrutinized by some govt. asshole. Let them explain to me how torture=freedom=safety.

Let them explain to me how abolishing habeas corpus and giving our president the right to arrest any citizen for any reason, at any time and hold them indefinitely without charge is an American value.

Hell, somebody explain to me one fucking thing this administration has done that has made America a better place to live. Check McCain's website. Maybe he has some talking points you could use...You'd better hurry though. When the shit hits the fan, the internet will be the first thing to go. [/rant]

America is not a constitutional Republic. Only states are Republican:

Article IV: The States

Section 4 - Republican government

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

You guys don't need to worry. We have the 2nd amendment for a reason. Just keep putting pressure on the government, in a democratic and peaceful way.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Congress may not make laws allowing those things, but to think that will stop it from happening is some pretty wishful thinking.
