Your response is demented and a mess. The article or opinion which was printed as an article in the newspaper was representative of the Jewish population of South Florida.

It is a big concern to them that Obama is the democratic nominee and many are threatening to back McCain.
ok, one more time. He will go to Florida so they can ask him these questions personally. Once they actually give him an audience, they will be able to make up their own minds with a bit more information than emails that have been forwarded to them from their equally improperly informed friends.

They were protesting in the streets of Palm Beach County that Obama is NOT GOOD FOR ISRAEL. Why that should concern a man who is running for PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES I do not know!!!!!
I'm actually not sure that this man running for the Prez IS concerned about what's good for Israel more than he is for anyone else in the region. When he addressed AIPAC he specifically mentioned the need for a sanctioned Palestinian country with specific borders, but that he would not support sharing Jeruselem.

They are concerned about how Obama is going to fit Israel into his plans. They had no such concern with Hillary or McCain.
They already know what Hillary or McCain stands for as they've each had a national audience for quite some time. If they have concerns with Obama, maybe they should just ask him down there to talk about it.

Which is exactly the point I made in the first post.

No wonder so many interesting posters have not even bothered to come here any more.

And if I wasn't paying attention to the campaign than I guess those people of Florida weren't either? Is that what you are saying?

Anyhoo, no matter how you try and cut it South Florida is a very big deal to anyone who wants to be Prez. From the Yentas in Boca to the Cubans of Miami, the road to the Whitehouse always goes through that big old piece of drained swampland.

And those people are pandered to.

Nope. All I've ever said was an answer to the question of why he should go down there.

This is a different point, and one that needs to be equaly addressed; Which carries more weight this year, a Cuban vote or a Jewish vote?

Personally, I think the Cuban vote will outweigh any perceived importance of the Jewish vote. There are more of them, they are growing and they are owning and operating their own businesses.
I'm pretty sure the Cubans will be equally pandered to, but that's just my opinion.

I don't think it's about religious differences but it is in part about religion. American Jews are pretty powerful.

Israel has a secret-weapon aimed at the United States. They hold our support hostage. They want us to release our dinosaur-attack on Iran. The dinosaur-attack consists of literally releasing dinosaurs into another country.

The dinosaurs themselves just want to eat things (people mostly). They don't even require a pension. We figure, 10 battalions of each predatory dinosaur should get the job done.

We shouldnt be too unfair to the Obama supporters.

They are powerless and are certainly not in any position take on the Jerusalem power base over mideast foreign policy. Americans Vs. Israel. Israel wins. You all saw it. An entire Obama campaign message warped/derailed by one meeting with powerful Jews.

I still believe Obama is the best candidate we have as a choice, but there is no doubt that Barack Obama has sold out America in the foreign policy arena. The only reason im still supporting him is because McCain is worse and Obama may still be able to do some good on the domestic front.

Let it go and try again in 2012.

If peace can be achieved by sharing Jerusalem, why doesn't Israel do it? What is so important about Jerusalem? Nothing religious, I would hope?

I hate to say "conspiracy", since most people don't know the definition, but it sure looks like one to me comsidering how badly Israel wants to go at it with Iran.
I don't buy this. Some press is biased towards Rep and some towards Dem and maybe one out of a thousand is somewhat independent or neutral. I would think the Rep biased press would have gone after Obama like a bum finding a ham sandwich...but nothing happened?

I want to know why all the protection and ass-kissing towards Israel no matter the ills of Israel politics and actions???
