Exactly. Even the BBC is closer to the real thing than the overwhelmingly obsequious MSM here. But don't tell that to the talking heads here like conservative lap dog Andrew Sullivan who writes off the BBC as an outlet with a Leftist agenda. I guess if you try to tell the truth you might as well be singing the Internationale with Mao, Stalin and Ho Chi Minh.

I've seen the BBC when in England. It's OK, but to me Ireland and Great Britain remind me more of America than Europe. It's gotten a little too "entertaining".
German news is the news. It's dry, with the exception that the female anchors look like those on Fox News, but it's the fucking NEWS.

I just recently stumbled across the "Wealth Channel" on cable. Every weeknight at 8:00pm my time there is a half hour international news program. This this the probably the best unbiased news segment I've witnessed other than the McNeil/Leherer Report (one of those guys died, probably called something different now) which to me gets a bit drawn out and boring. FYI.

Well IMHO, CNN used to be considered the Clnton News Network. Now it's entertainment. FOX is and always has been entertainment. NBC is a parody of that 70's movie Broadcast News. CBS is so far left they are off the charts.
Wealth TV international news is just damn objective.

All these networks are major corporations and they function as such. There is no such animal as a liberal or far left corporation. They're all about making money and if your major share holders also have stock in UBS, Haliburton or Enron, you're not going to be inclined to cover corporate swindling and abuse until a given situation gets out of control. The best any American can do is sift through the bullshit served up by the MSM and locate news that they won't cover.

The only 'liberal' news show on TV is Countdown. Of course some people will cry foul about Verdict too, but Abrams does a lot of bullshit criminal fluff after the first half-hour.

Everything else tends to be more or less bias towards the connies since they have been giving McCain a free ride.
