Cynthia McKinney running for prez

The Green Party has nominated Cynthia McKinney for president.

Do we have some choice now, or what?

With one vote, I can vote for a woman and a black at the same time. And in this case, probably the only candidate who is a proven patriot.

So Nader was too much of a prick even for the Green Party to deal with? McKinney is an insane bitch with way too much emotional baggage. We've had seven plus years of one head case, we don't need another one just because she's at the opposite end of the political spectrum.

Oh she will never get elected. She has already been marginalized by the corrupt political system and the MSM. Further, the american electorate is far more interested in window dressing than in substance. They do not want to be told the truth, and they do not want a leader dedicated to honest government in accordance with constitutional principles.

No way!

Her stupid hissy fit with the Capitol police a while back was enough to put me off. At least Nader had some credibility as the original consumer advocate. You could make a plausible case for somebody like Ron Paul as a third party candidate but not Cynthia McKinney, who only brings name recognition to the ticket.

Voting for Cynthia McKinney is voting against the two party system. That's enough of a reason for me to vote for her.

But the people who complain about Nader haven't realized yet that they can't live without a two party system. The need to have an easily identifiable enemy outweighs the need to think how the system is damaged. The damage can be repaired by realizing that we don't have to take what's handed to us by those who depend upon special interests.

No, what it means is that the Green Party has become afraid of the D.I.N.O. and republican parties who've since browbeaten them into submission.

Lat night there was a documentary called War On Drugs: The Last Great White Hope. it describes how both parties became unholy prtners in the failed drug policy that landed over a million nonviolent and otherwise law abiding citizens in prison. That both parties signed on the "Patriot" Act no questions wask, that they both gave Jr. his vaunted telecom immunity says to me that Darth Nader's claim of a two party dictatorship is more accurate than any description of Nader by those two parties.

I never really saw video of her "hissy fit", but I wonder if it's possible that she was simply trying to assert her rights?

Do you see Sheehan and others trying to assert their rights to petition their elected representatives, and getting hauled off by the police, as being "hissy fits" too?

She seriously pissed off the powers-that-be PRIOR to 11 September. I would not be surprised in the least if they retaliated by playing hardball with her.

If I recall correctly, she was trying to enter a building at the capital when a guard stopped her and asked for ID because she wasn't wearing a pin that congressmen normally wear to identify themselves. She refused. She claimed she was being singled out, and I believe she even assaulted the officer.
