Howard Stern had a great interview tape with Jon Voight and somebody from Channel 7 in NYC and you could almost feel the guy's humiliation when the reporter asked him about his newly born grandchildren, whose mother is estranged from him. Voight is a tool though, I mean he's been in some great films but where the fuck does he get off writing op/eds in the WSJ saying that Obama will turn America into a socialist country? I think the real reason the Rethugs hate Hollywood so much is that all their friends there are has beens like this guy or scrubs like Jimmy J.J. Walker, Wilfred Brimley, Patricia Heaton, Shannon Dougherty and Chuck Norris. And let's not forget newly Christianized nut job Steven Baldwin. Yup, some major scary talent in that roster, just a Charles Nelson Riley away from a fucking Love Boat episode.

You know what makes a good comedian? They use the truth to make you laugh. Although things have got pretty sad lately. Now the truth just kinda pisses me off.

I have no doubt that Michelle MalKKKin will do a major hit piece on Rosanne for this, writing her off as crazy and recounting all her public melt downs. I never knew Rosanne was this funny.

Neither did I. Then again maybe I'm just able to focus on what she is saying a little better because I can't hear her voice?

It's hard to tell with comedians. I think her high pitched voice is the one she uses in the act. I've seen her on Real Time and she can actually be articulate and more soft spoken. But like most comedians, she's got a screw loose.

Voight's character in Transformers is effectively a lionized Rumsfailed, but it's still good. However, Voight's character in Enemy of The State more protrays his own ideology and that of the extremist right wingers.

The only two things Voight will be remembered for is "Midnight Cowboy", and the possibility of previously owning George Costanza's Chrysler Le Baron.
Certainly not for anything he's said about politics or a presidential candidate. |
