At least we'll know where to find them!
Because we aren't afraid of open discourse. People that can't defend their positions with truth and logic fear open debate as is evident with sites like 'Coulter Chat'. While I understand your concerns I completely welcome anyone from the right to register and start a thread on this site.

I have always been welcoming of conservatives and am one that will engage them. My only thought was not to give them anything special. Conservatives don't need to be asked to come to liberal sites. They will come....and they are here. Giving a special forum for just them seems a little like overkill is all.

If I really thought they weren't a minority here, they wouldn't have a forum geared towards inviting them in. It really isn't my intention to give them special treatment as much as it is to welcome them into a place that's clearly full of liberals.

Sorry Mark, I didn’t mean to imply that you personally weren’t open to engaging them in discussion. It was more of a shot at the exclusively ‘conservative’ sites that we’re all familiar with. The thing is, I could probably count on one hand the number of members here that fit that loose ‘conservative’ category, and out of those registered, even less that post here with any regularity. Maybe try and think of it as more of an open invitation to get the ball rolling than as an act of favoritism.

Exactly, and if for some strange reason an imbalance becomes the result you can rest assured I will level the playing field for both.

Do hard left socialists also get a forum? They are certainly not liberals nor conservatives.

Coulter Chat?
eeewwwwww.

the apparition of slimey hoards of pseudo-intellectual hatemongers roasting a progressive liberal on a spit,
while sticking forks in the capturee, and a salivating "is he finished yet?" remark comes to mind.
