I like to build prop pieces to make simple rooms more elaborate. In an apartment in Lodi I went all out and built a fake oak paneled wall with a faux marble column to extend the living room to accommodate a long couch and a matching Victorian fireplace with mantle on the other side of the room. Freaked the manager of the complex out. I have pictures some where.

I do mostly small stuff like fake artifacts. I finished a replica ghostbusters proton pack in time for Halloween.

Anything for a good party! I think people forgot we need to have fun every now and then no matter what our sexual orientation is.

Thanks. It's very true. Look at all the old time actors. Many were gay and couldn't let it be known because they were sex symbols. Rock Hudson is a good example of that. I don't know if you are old enough to remember but they had him marry a woman to look good, yet had to sneak out to the gay bars where he was seen all the time. They did the same thing with Elton John when aides was killing people. It was a scare tactic. Makes me think of all the straight people who ate chimp meat and got aides from it.

I'm not familiar with Rock Hudson. I was never aware of any cover-up shit going down, but then I was born in the early 80's. I do know Sir Alec Guinness kept pretty quiet.

Rock Hudson was well before your time. He died of Aides as well. It happened a lot in Hollywood back in those days.

And why would any parade hurt the gay community's cause? What is their cause, anyway? Other than to have the same rights as all Americans?

And, nobody can "rankle" a homophobe. Homophobe's are already perpetually rankled people. They live rankled. Gay people have parades to, a)bring awareness to the fact that they are still declined basic American rights like marriage, and b) obviously, have a fabulous time.
