I put yes or no as a request to state specifically so that there would not be ambiguity about a choice.............

IMO that would disqualify the usa & the south from "being the good guys".......... In a addition that little matter of the gulf of Tonkin incident as well..............

They killed a lot of ppl & ppl are still suffering from the agent orange.........

In war it is not difficult to tell the bad guys from the good guys as the bad guys are the ones that are shooting at you. I was not at the gulf of Tonkin so I can not tell you for sure if the military and President Johnson was lying or not.

Did the mistake of using agent orange make it an unjust war? Do you think that the American government delibertly spray agent orange on its troops to kill us later in life?

No of course not............

I think that the war was not just in many ways. Some of which I alredy mentioned........

In addition:

It was a civil conflict which the USA got involved in.......... By what right do they have to be involved in a civil war.................???

The gov they propped up was corrupt to the core & IMO they were morally corrupt as well...........

When two seperate countries are at war with each other it is not called a civil war.

1954 – French defeated at Dien Bien Phu, Geneva Agreements call for nationwide elections (US abstains).

1955 – South Vietnamese Premiere Ngo Dinh Diem rejects Geneva accords and refuses to participate in elections (with US backing).

1971 - John Kerry lies to Senate Committee feeding the spoiled and bored anti-war crowd into a false frenzy which leads to the abandonment of the people of South Vietnam.

My God man...................

Why was it our repsonsiblity to protect these ppl from themselves.....???

IMO the mean & cruel communist were not much worse then the mean cruel military dictators that the usa installed..........

"Bomb them back to the stone age."

IMO this like most wars we have been involved in has much more to do w/ us then them.............. & the way they treated the ppl testify to that........

There are many people in the US that believe in isolationism.

Do you really believe we installed cruel military dictators in South Vietnam or anywhere else? You could say that we have not always done enough to keep them out of power or you could say we assisted some leaders ignorantly thinking they would be different but you can't honestly think we installed them intentionally.

You would need to explain this a little more clearly before I respond.

How about it could've been a just war if started on legitimate grounds and handled correctly. The Tonkin Gulf Incident was fabricated by Johnson to kick up the war a few notches, though realize it was Eizenhower who got us involved and Kennedy threw in "military advisors" who were in fact combat ops.
