Rupert Murdoch is married to a Chinese national...that always strikes me as significant.

I have more than once read of Wife Wendy's helpfulness in Rupert Baby's toe hold in Chinese telecommunications...heavily censored, of course.

I have also read about Rubert Daddy's estrangement from son, with a mention of Wife Wendy as both the possible source of strife and the possible inheritance of estate.
