Daily Show is Back

Not really.
It was on tonight, but only a token effort.
I didn't expect 100% without the writers but all he did was talk about the strike and look very very nervous about being on the air while the strike is still on.

I watched it too.

I'm glad that they went on and talked about the strike.

MANY people don't realize how much
of what they like
REQUIRES talent

I thought both he and Stephen did a great job without the writers. Like I said, all he has to do is point to a real news clip and raise an eyebrow.

There is so much money in that business I can't understand why they just won't give the writers their share of the internet pie.

I just reread that statement and realized how naive it is. These days you can't spit without hitting a corporation that dumped their domestic talent for cheap foreign talent.

I'll bet the entertainment industry is absolutely pissed that they can't buy their jokes from China.

Seriously correct.

NONE of those on the Viacom side EVER wrote what they sold.

I think that, if Stewart kept
the unibrow through the whole show,
he could have made a trend happen

What a bunch of pussies (no offense). X vs Y, the beauty wins. You.... fortunate people... you are not really so fortunate.... we are fortunate.

I just watched the rerun of last night's Cobert Report, and yes, Stephen did do a great job without the writers. He's so damn quick.

Stewart may have been acting more nervous than he actually was, he's known for that, and I'm glad he did talk about the strike because, as usual, he was able to explain the problem better than any "professional" news show.

It would do America good to have more access to these two on a channel that wasn't limited to basic cable.

That and Stewart's comment about seperate deals with writers and that face he gives the audience. LOL

The voices of FOX
and the
spin of the gossip
that is called
'news'
got too loud when they were off.
JUST for that reason, they really had to get back on.
I KNOW that they are writing for themselves but,
please
keep "idiocrasy" away
