Yes, the meds could make it worse if the problem is not what they think it is. I'm not for pharmasuticals because once they start you, it keeps going and going.............................. Been there done it, got worse.

Because medical professionals always promote the least invasive "remedy" first. Popping pills may actually quell the gastric acid which is likely irritating the stomach and or duodenum, causing the pain. If the pills take care of it, the insurance company will have saved money over allowing an endoscopy which is, of course, more costly.
