I'm out of that too. They cost a lot here. But I might be able to make one. I think.

My father quit smoking many many moons ago (probably 35 years ago), and at the time there wasn't much.

But VitaminC was supposed be a natural deterrent to withdrawal symptoms. Probably not a very effective one, but I guess it takes the edge off a bit.

first 3 days are the hardest.
I quit for 3 years, before i was stupid enough to pick up a cigarette again, and WHAM - got the habit again.

I cut down though first. got used to having less smoke in my lungs.
when I got down to 10 a day. i went on the patch and i was OK.

Just think of the lungs healing. visualize it. it helps to think of getting healthy.

I had gone to the "Bodies" exhibit and saw a smokers lung. I'm making sure I vision it when I get the craving. I've heard that the first 3 days are the hardest. Also what I did was empty my bank account and gave it to my son so I can't go buy any either! I also heard that the actual craving never totally goes away but it gets eaiser. I hope!

the "craving" is like any drug habit.
Your mind remembers the drug's pleasent effects when you think about smoking.
But you won't think of it as much, and you won't have cravings when you get clean

I hope not. I started smoking at age 7. Been smoking a long time!
