Happens to the best of us. I blew it New Years when I got that call from the State Trooper telling me my son was in a car accident. I'll get back on track. Keep trying, that's all we can do. Inner strength.

In Seattle. Very good display's of the human body and it's inner works. The only problem i had with it was where the bodies came from; China. Prisoners no doubt.

I went to a restaurant yesterday. Things are still pretty forgiving around here for the smoking thingie. 14:00, late lunch, a couple of colleges from work smoking. Me smelling it. Mmmmm, I want some. No problem. Big smile. I donīt know how much time Iīm going to put up with it. But hey, 5 Euros extra to spend for today.

I hear you on that one. I also take valium so that is helping some. I only take it in the morning and at night but not everyday. I might just start everyday because it keeps me from thinking about smoking. Funny, for me valium has a "wake up" effect and not the "prince" valium people use before gong to bed. It keeps me awake!

You guys, you can do this! The cravings DO go away, and you DO get healthier, and your risk of an early and painful death DO decrease!

You've got to use every psychological trick you can think of to succeed. You can do it!

My story: I smoked like a fiend for decades -- 2-3 packs a day. I quit cold turkey about 10 years ago. I used the patch, the gum, and Welbutrin (an anti-depressant). It was an 8-week course of stepping down the dose of the patch and gum.

I failed the first time and started smoking again -- for about a week. I then started the same 8 week program, and this time made it.

I didn't worry about the weight gain, and I packed on a hundred pounds, which has, by now, mostly come back off (I could stand to drop another 25, but BMI is back within normal range.)

Now, the smell grosses me out. I can smell somebody smoking in the car in front of me on the freeway. I hate it...I think I am finally freeeee...!

They gave you Welbutrin? That's some seriously fucked up medicine, my crazy ex was on that poison. The list of side effects was longer than any I've ever seen before. She'd take it and turn into a zombie, huge pupils, and heavy legs.
