Yep. It's the same idea behind all wars that cannot be won. And even better, they have an instant monopoly. The DEA sure doesn't want pot to be legal. It would completely decimate their budget. And if no one goes to jail, how will people like Governor Arnie Shwarzenfuck, a huge investor in prisons, ever reap the dividends they think they deserve?

...here's the thing. A plant that can grow wild in all 50 states, that can actually help a cancer patient with pain, nausea and vomiting.

It's been well established as an effective remedy for many people.

Unfortunately there are alot of less effective products whose corporate owners are very powerful, and have a rather large stake in the medicinal marijuana fight.

Yes. They don't want to properly diagnose you in the first place. With women it's alway a "Depression" thing. Same with the poor and elderly. Here, have an antidepressant, it will make you feel so good you can't feel your pain or the unbearable situation you have to live in especially if you are poor. Makes me wonder how many of the Katrina victims were put on antidepressants. Same with 911 vitims and witnesses. How much money did the pharmasutical companies make on just those 2 things? Then the antidepressants which have never had long term studies behind them or a clean record, destroy your brain, and other organs. Now you have another disease but they will never admit what they've been giving you was either a direct or indirect factor in your health.

John Edwards' position on medical marijuana...in particular, his promise to halt to the DEA raids of medical marijuana pharmacies that have been nothing short of grand theft...is the most reasonable, progressive and unambiguous as I have heard from any candidate.

The American people need to demand disbaring/dismantling of the Marijuana section of the DEA. We should also demand Congress vote it legal and not allow any president to veto it, and the Supreme Court needs to get listen to "We The People."
