Jonesy, I'm not clear on what the issue is. You're an adult, no one can force you to take meds. ADHD is certainly something a lot people can live with, without the need to take meds. |

Dogs and cats can co-exist peacefully. I have two dogs and two cats right now and they're fine. I've had mixtures of dogs and cats almost my whole life, and they've always been fine.
These damn dogs and human-dogs, they just don't understand cats. The human-dogs think cats are stupid, because cats cannot be trained like dogs. But who is more stupid, the human-dog who should know better, or the cat who is actually significantly more brilliant? Such an intelligent creature that can be slavishly trained to sit, lie down and roll over. Yet you cannot train it to clean itself, or stop eating its own shit, or for that matter - think for itself and act independently. So stop being bastards, human-dogs. Give us human-cats our cat-structure, and our preferred substance (marijuana). Stop trying to make us like you. We don't want to be like you. We, unlike you, are happy being ourselves. And we are not bothered by your presence except when you fuck us over. |

It's actually really interesting. I wonder if these differences come from living with animals. Maybe my ancestors always lived with cats. If evolution works in this way, maybe we should find other animals we want to 'fuse' with?
We could live with bats and develop sonar? |

Our brains can be handled in two ways: we can consciously tend to the 'plant-life' in our brains by cutting, trimming, watering, etc., and seeding based on what we choose; or, we can allow our primitive systems to take control of what plants grow and in what ways. The latter will happen if we do not stay vigilant; exactly like in a garden.
The primitive systems i'm referring to are the survival instincts, as well as evolution. If we do not tend to our brain-gardens, we essentially live like animals. Last edited by Jonesy; 02-10-2008 at 06:10 AM. |

A.D.H.D. actually gives the ability to grow brain-roots at a faster rate. This is why people with the 'disorder' get bored very quickly in school and often get poor grades.
If business/school is arranged properly, this 'disorder' can allow someone to essentially be 'smarter'. Meaning, they can learn faster. It also means, you have to keep them busier (which means, this type of person makes an excellent worker). On the other hand, 'depression' gives the ability to destroy roots faster. I've got the ADD thing figured out...
Essentially, the person with ADD changes subjects very quickly and seemingly with no control. In our school system, we stick with one subject for x amount of time (50 minutes or so). The ADD student does not need medication, only a different kind of education (one where the subject matter is not so static). |
