Healthy living and eating tips

Thought it would be a good idea to compile and share tips on living and eating healthy, be it recipes, exercise tips, mental/emotional well being.

I'm trying to reduce my meat consumption so I would love to get veggie meals and in particular, snack ideas.

Some simple snack ideas that I find are yogurt, nuts, melba toast, fruit, cottage cheese, hummus and veggies, peanut butter (with apples are awesome)...these aren't necessarily low cal options though but filling and satisfies cravings.

snacks are a waste of time.
They make you weak and feeble
with just enough energy to notice it and whine.

This is my area of expertise so I'll try not to go on and on.

Here's 1.
"Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
is an idea that's out-of-date.
Eat at 8, noon, 4 and 8"

Eat a whole meal every time:
protien/carb/veg/fat/water.

No protien = no healing
No carbs = no fuel for the brain
No fat = bad gall bladder and bad endocrine interaction
( too much fat is the #1 killer and the #2 killer )
No veg = many bad thing
No water = WHEW bad!

What area might that be? Dietician? Fitness?

So you're suggesting not to snack in between meals and only have 4 meals/day?

I need to have snacks through the day otherwise my blood sugar goes low and I become superbitch and actually feel "weak and feeble".

Teacher of Fitness Professionals.

( Provider of Continuing Education Credits )

1. you'd have to understand exactly what your body does with food.

2. It's a LOT of typing to tell you that

3. Do you know where the idea of 'breakfast/lunch/dinner came from?

(The body does not care what you think or say.
It just does what it does -period.)

Two-facedness is very prevalent.

People say one thing but insinuate sub-text
and/or whisper behind backs.

I am saying exactly what I am typing.
No sub-text.

Do you know where the idea of B/L/D came from?
Do you know what food does when it gets into your body?

I would welcome one question at a time

rather than

operating with the idea that a mind should be

globally immersed in the idea of two-facedness

Eventually, in the toilet, down the sewer.

No, I don't know in all seriousness.

What do you say about low blood sugar? What is one to do when they are hungry? What I do is break up my BLD so instead of having all that food at one meal, break it out.

I welcome your tips on weight loss and healthy eating.

"down the toilet"
Silly woman!

I don't mind sharing what I paid LOTS of money to learn
because it matters
GREATLY to ALL bodies ALL the time.

1. B/L/D came from the Industrial age.
One ate before one left for work at 4:00 am.
One ate when one got home at 10:00 or 11:00 or 12:00.
Bosses, eventually, figured out that they HAD to let eating happen
somewhere in between.

White-collar workers, 100 years ago stuck ( striked? )
and gained the ability to eat from 11:30 am to 11:45 am with NO TALKING.

B/L/D is way bad for several reasons.

Everything that you eat is burnt or stored in four hours.
Hunger begins in four hours.

Most shop lifting happens 3-6 in the evening and
most men steal food.

I find this heart-breaking and was able to
give my lecture on this to
at-risk teens.
They loved it.
They told me that they didn't WANT to steak -
that the just want SOMETHING.

I want to go back and see how they are doing.

I feel that it is QUITE worthwhile to simply get people to do the
8-12-4-8 meal program.
It will not hurt if it doesn't help.
Exercise is a HUGE componant of healthcare.
Most people are too draggy in the evening to exercise 'cause they just should have eaten - a real meal - at 4!

A woman who's name I should remember
one a Nobel Prize for proving that
ALL humans get low blood sugar.

You may be too young to know but,
we used to think that only some people got it.

Either you eat every 3-5 hours or you spiral down.

The food digests in 1.5 hours and if you have eaten only a little,
you will have only a little energy.

If you eat a proper meal, you will not think of food for four hours
