Yes a month. That's the difference between catching it naturally and them giving it to you. Most flu's last 3-7 days. I've been sick all month.

So funny seeing this thread because just this morning as I was watching our local newscast, the one anchor was sick saying he has never been so sick all winter as he has this winter and this is first time he's had a flu shot and said on the air, I will never get a flu shot again!

I've never been a big believer in flu shots....everyone I know who gets them gets sick anyway!
I'm sure they are of some help to anyone with a compromised immunity system, but otherwise lots of fresh fruit and handwashing are the best defense, imo....

every year or so they have to vary the shot to accomodate any changes in the flu bug...my thinking is eventually, there's going to be a problem similar to the one we've created by abusing antiboitics....super flu bugs.

I have had three flu shots in my life and all three made me severely ill with flu within 6 days.

I never get the flu now, and I never take a flu shot. Something inside me tells me not to. It's called my gut instinct

I heard this on NPR on my way home from work. No wonder I got the flu - the shot wasn't all that effective this year.

Flu shots are a scam. Viruses mutate. It's the function of a virus parasite. It mutates, then attacks, then if it can't attack, it mutates with other viruses, and then THEY ALL attack. That's all they do. One way or another, viruses will find their way into our bodies. The idea is to keep your immune system healthy so that it will fight viruses off faster, not to take shot of something that only blocks one form of virus, especially considering that all forms of viruses are constantly mutating with other forms.

It's a virus. There's all kinds of new shit out there now. It'll go away, and you won't even notice it when it does. But it seems like you'll have it forever. IT's only serious if you're running high fevers, losing weight, trouble breathing, acute pain, etc. If not, you're good. You could have allergies too and that makes it worse. There's a lot of allergies out there now that aren't detected with tests. It's all fucked up. If there were ever a time for humans to eat more fruits and vegetables and exercise, these are it. I really think it's the only defense for all of the new viruses, allergies, and forms of asthma that are starting to develop.

It's a two pronged attack.

1) The new viruses.

2) People's unhealthy lifestyles, weakening their immune systems.
