My rant wasn't really a vegiac one, but one on the pointlessness of going on the merry go round with you. And of the absurdity of your stating that i ran like a whipped dog when, in fact, i engaged in thousands of posts with you. Yes, you did exhaust me, but that's not an indication of me losing the argument. I left the argument, just as i'll leave this argument, long before you run out of steam. You're somehow taking this to mean that you won.


I've never stated that you were wrong in this basic fact that we've been eating meat for millions of years.. What i did state is that you're wrong in your conclusion that it's good for us or the environment simply because we've been doing it a long time. Even the anthropologist that came up with the theory that eating meat led to our superior intelligence stated categorically that we should not base our eating habits off of what our ancestors did, but rather off of what nutritionists say.

Furthermore, By your logic, raping, pillaging, murder and thievery are all "good" since we've been engaging in these activities for millions of years. There are cultures all over the world that go without meat. And the majority of cultures eat meat FAR less than we do.

And are you really arguing that not having meat causes poverty? And are you really arguing that this is what the U.N. is arguing or that is what any poverty relief organization is arguing? Cause if so, you should state your source.

Your rant is solely about demonstrating the sheer and staggering ignorance you have in regards to human dietary needs, human evolution and ecology. You've no understanding of these whatsoever. You've been proven wrong so many times that you're just a laughing stock when the subject comes up.

To quote Barney Frank, "You're so bereft of your own arguments." Raping and pillaging are entirely different and wholly unrelated, but like a extremist facist you shout them off in hopes of getting a reptile brained reaction. And there's no culture that goes without some animal food and still thrives. None. The fact is proper human nutrition can't be maintained without animal products of some form [again proven many times over which you deny]. Look at the U.N. standard for famin conditions. I dare you to look that up.

In the meantime you've still got nothing to go on other than insane extremism railing in your own head.

Who are you talking about specifically? There's meat eaters that have said i won, i defy you to name a veggie that says i lost. But, the "i kicked your ass- no I kicked your ass" argument is an angels on the head of a pin argument. We'll have to agree to disagree on that one.



There are literally millions of people throughout the world living happy and healthier lives without meat. I myself have been vegan for about a year and am doing fine. There's vegans who have been healthy for DECADES. Study after study have shown vegetarians living longer than meat eaters. To be fair, vegans don't live as long as vegetarians, but still live longer than meat eaters. The diabetese association has endorsed a veg diet, as has the american cancer society. Even Harvard has stated that the best amount of red meat to eat is none.

Anyhoo, last time i checked, fascism relied on violence to enforce its method. I'm not suggesting that. In fact it's out of my hatred for violence that i endorse veganism.

I'm not sure how or when it became common place to cheapen fascism by equating all spirited disagreements with fascism. You, of course are not the only one who does that. It's just kind of off-putting.

Also, with all due respect. I DO consider eating meat, at least from modern day factory farms (and even most organic farms) to be on par with raping and pillaging and murder. It's more damaging to the environment than anything, so it's robbing from future generations for our own brief enjoyment, and it's the incredibly cruel torture of sentient beings.

I am differentiating here between factory farms, certified humane and those who go out and hunt up their own meals. While i loathe the former, i can accept the second and third.

Nice spin, but we both know that's what the rest said. The point you made and we ALL [myself included] agreed to was that factory farming was bad. The other issue of methane from livestock also occurs from wild herbavores and from domestic sources the solution was to collect the dung [where the bulk of the livestock generated methane in fact comes from] and harness the methane for fouling farm equipment, in effect using livestock to reduce the use of petrolium and coal energy. And still the top two sources of green house gasses- by far, remain cars and coal fired power plants.

That's it. That's your "victory" and no one was fighting the other side of that issue.

After that you were shown many times by many posters to be wrong about the myths of vegetarianism. You proved yourself completely ignorant on human nutritional needs as well as human evolutionary history regarding omnivoous dietary habits.

In short, you've already lost.

Maybe if you got more protein your mental faculties wouldn't be suffering. Oh well. Good night.

Just My two cents. I believe that meat eating is part of our nature and our evolutionary destiny for at least as long as we will ever last on this planet. I don`t give us that long. I love meat in its many forms AND I love to garden as well. I spent a year making my dream smoker and even my vegetarian neighbors can hardly resist the smell. Actually I smoke BBQ covered tofu for them. I like my meat and veges and smelling the smoking grill on a warm summers night . Alittle music and a twelve pack of beer. I quit smoking and sports and sex. The vices I have left, I intend to live and die with. I`m going to eat for the taste.
