How I'd run a health insurance company

Looking at long term profits, I'd prefer my members to catch serious problems sooner, rather than later.

To this end, I would cover the first $1000 per year per covered person sans any deductable or copay.

At least sans the deductable.

It's my observation that many people put off tests and such because of the deductable. By the time they have sufficient pain or such to go in spite of the deductable, whatever they suffer from has advanced.

What about people with chronic disease? I must have lab work every six weeks, and office visits to a specialist every 2-3 months...it could get very expensive w/o adequate coverage.

Instead of what you've proposed, how about a provision for preventative care? 2 exams per year, plus any testing necessary ought to catch most problems before they advance. But people have to use it. Men are nortorious for letting things slide.

Well... according to Hillary and her drones, too bad. That's what Hillary's message is. What we need is the congressional healthcare plan. And that's not something you'll see from Hillary and her indusrace industry backers.

That's a very good plan, but can we afford it for everyone? Those who pay will also pick up the tab for those who won't/can't.
