thank god the founding fathers didn't have that attitude.
Thank God the generals planning D-day didn't have that attitude...

It would take a socialized system that covered every country in the EU to have a proportional comparison to the U.S. Why is that so complicated to understand? :confused
I bet you are confused because you can't grasp the following concept:

it isn't a socialized system, it's a system that offers socialized coverage...there's a big difference.

the blood is already being shed. My friend is dead and Blue cross kicked her children to the curb before she died.

Good it wasn't just me then. The good old US of A is the greatest we could make it happen and be the model.

I understand that, but it''s not everyone's story. The type of situation you described could be outlawed, and it should be. Meaning, remedies are at hand for the problems we currently face.

I know you don't like the gov. FISA surveillence tactics. You don't want the gov to listen to your phone conservations, but you'd trust them with managing your healthcare? Doesn't make sense to me.

well I appreciate that, sincerly.
you must realize that her story is not unique and it being lived out day after day in this country.

No one cares more about quality then I do and the government would not force doctors out of private practice.
I understand quality may be a fear of yours, but you've yet to prove why you're certain that happen... until then, it's just an unfounded fear of something different.

as far as "someone else paying for it"...you already are paying for someone else. When you're healthy you still pay premiums.. right? The government plan wouldn't be much different except that the profit is removed which saves 25-30%, then the skyrocketing expense of healthcare begins to slow as the profit driven system loses favor.

It isn't outlawed because the insurance companies own your soul, trust me.
beyond that...the republicans don't want insurance more heavily regulated, that's your whole platform, "leave the billionaires alone!"

I just had to smile because it's sounds so absurd to defend corporations that made money off of dead 35 year olds.

and I know you two aren't supporting that kind of buisness practice...but that is what is going on, it's how they post record profits.

the government doesn't "manage my care" my doctor and I do.
and the government pays him/her.

beyond that...yes you bet your butt I'd rather have a civil servant managing my care than a corporate whore...any freaking day!!!!

Canada is not in Europe.

Japan doesn't make the list either because it also isn't in Europe.

Thus the story does not support the claim "US Has Highest Cancer Survival Rates in the World".
