Pretty scary. I know that area and being trapped like that would be terrorfying one road in one road out. The couple that died didn't have a chance. There would have been only one way out right into the fire.

I bet if the surviving couple had succeeded in driving away, they would be dead too, as it was too late for escape. The couple who died probably thought they were safe in their garage.
Do you remember the fire last year where the three firefighters had a wall of fire come over them and they didn't survive? It's so quick!!

I remember the fire fighters that died. A friend of a friend had talked to the couple that died on Sunday night. It must of been hours before they were overrun . From What I heard the fire was moving at about forty five miles an hour. I think they were suprised by the speed at 10:30 they were watching it and planning to get out . They weren't staying because they wanted to save the house they just got trapped.

An amazing story of survival for that one couple but very sad about the other couple who didn't make it. It shows how easy it is to get trapped and just how fast those fires moved.
