California Fires
This is crazy fires all over the San Diego area. Watching the local news everything is out of control. Seperate fires all over the place. They Just closed down Highway 78 at Highway 15 apperantly. Which is about a mile away from me. At the same time there is an evacuation center about 200 yards from where I'm at.

Definately the time of year. Hopefully it's not arson, one little spark can do a hell of a lot of damage.

Yeah, that I can agree with. Fire season here in Fla. is usually in winter, during our dry season. We were very fortunate this year - very slow hurricane season. Bt it's always something, isn't?

Wow! What are you evacuation plans? Shouldn't you already be gone!?! I heard it's not supposed to let up till Wednesday.

I think Daddy-O's way north (lucky him).

The Malibu fire is suspected to have been started when the high Santa Anas brought down power lines. It's nasty and still burning. The Orange County fire is suspected Arson.

These winds are vicious. It unnerves me (as well as the cats). My car's full of ash, broken trees are all over the surface streets. I hate this time of year.
