Wealthy Gravel Supporter Puts Up $1 Million For Ads

About two weeks ago, a supporter of Sen. Mike Gravel purchased a full page advertisement in the Concord Monitor. The ad likened Gravel to New England's favorite, and currently dominant, sports teams:

"The Red Sox and Patriots used to be underdogs, too."

It was a very simple ad, composed of little more than a metaphor and a plea for voters to "root for" Mike Gravel. The man behind that ad, Gregory Chase, just decided to up the ante a whole lot. Today he is putting more than $1,025,000 of his own money on the line for the cause of a low-polling, financially-floundering former Senator from the wilds of Alaska. That's right, Million with an "M".

Mr. Chase is a Harvard-educated hedge fund manager and a New Hampshire resident. He is also a newcomer to political activism, but he is entering the game with a bang. Upon hearing the news that Gravel was being excluded from October 30th's DNC/NBC debate, Chase decided that he needed to do something about it.

He called NBC to find out why the decision was made. NBC pointed Chase to Drexel University, where the debate is to be held. So he called Drexel, who said to call the DNC. Then the DNC told him to ask NBC. No one could shed light on the actual criteria for why Gravel was not allowed in the debate. Ultimately Chase felt that it was "pretty clear" that it was NBC's decision.

That's a mistake. She should want everybody to listen to Ron Paul. Eventually those meds are going to wear off and he'll start raving about the civil war being pointless.

Hillary believes that "all options are on the table" with respect to Iran. Hardly an anti-war canidate.

The only three anti-war canidates are Kucinich, Gravel and Paul.

YouTube - Hillary Clinton Censorship of Ron Paul at Denver Rally
No offense, but I don't follow your logic. Anyone who signs up for anything, including a child's soccer team is "told what to do"

What is the point of bringing anything disruptive to the political rally of any candidate?

What in that video suggests that Hillary, who was speaking the entire time, knew anything about what her staff was doing?

If you were at a Ron Paul rally and a similar sign was being held up to support someone else, and you got complaints from Paul's supporters, what would you do?

I do note no one got tasered.

She feeds off the same monster as the rest of the bomb Iran first crowd. The corporatists.

There are lots of folks who like her, with lots of good reasons - she is not 'one of them'. I'm increasingly uncertain about that. If I wanted to continue 'the agenda' I'd of planned for her candidicy - it's a win win.

If she wins the primary - the corporatists have won because either she'll win the big one or she'll get beat up by the polariztion machine which they will release the day after the primary and then it is either Juli ar Romney.

And we'll nuke Iran and friends by mid '09. Wooohooo. Invest in nukes.

Mostly, I'm talking about pre-2000. When America was asleep (thru my eyes - maybe that was just me .

Tasering of late at events you bet! But that is OLD school.

This is new school.

And cool new burn machines too. Nothing is too much for protection (of power).

Cant you just see those pushing back any flip-flopping commy dissent?

That's Cheney's wet dream. (If he was still capable of a wet dream, I mean.)
