But, there will be a lot of people turned off by Kennedy's endorsement. Just like any other endorsement. I really believe, though I have no way to prove it, that endorsements actually create a net loss for the candidates, because people react more strongly negative against them, than positively for them.

It depends though, doesn't it, how much slipperier he gets?

For starters, who do these people think they are, that their say-so should say so much about how so many others should cast their votes? What, like no one can think for themselves? Maybe people would start thinking for themselves if politicos and commentators and celebrities quit tellin' 'em what to think.

Unless they don't WANT the people to think for themselves, this must be conceded as a possibility.

Courtesy don't-piss-on-my-joy-don't-shit-on-my-hope ThetaBurst, "The fact is, a long line of prominent Democrats came out very vocally against the Clintons. Kennedy, Kerry, Leahy, Daschle, Landrieu, Emanuel." And now a long line of prominent Democrats is coming out FOR Obama.

CLUELESS that a long line of prominent Democrats have been RIGHT THERE, rolling over and playing dead, while this rogue Administration has run roughshod over an entire nation.

American Government is F.U.B.A.R., which is to say Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition. Ted Kennedy? LITERALLY, right there, all along. Endorsement by the Ruling Elite while we are struggling to break a stranglehold by the Ruling Elite. Perfect.

I'll have a side of ridiculousness to go with the bullshit.

No it was supposed to be a mirror for the Hillary haters. Here is Mr. Change accepting the endorsement of Mr. Entrenched Politics. Ironic that people need Ted to validate their candidate. I don't.
If Obama is the nominee I'll be glad to vote for him. I think he's an empty suit who will have a really hard time getting anything done unless he can elect a filibuster-proof congress on his coat tails but he's bound to be better than McInsane or Romney.
If Hillary is the nominee and you vote Republican you're a damned fool and there's not much logic in trying to reason with a damned fool.

Nothing Ted Kennedy says is going to get me to vote for anyone. The last Kennedy that I would have listened to was John Jr.

It's true that the youth vote won't care what Ted say. However this isn't a demographic Obama has to worry about, since they're clearly in his corner as is. But, Ted Kennedy's endorsement will drain away the older liberal voters with fond memories of the Kennedy family in government. in effect, Hillary is unable to compete against that.

The "Youth Vote"? Anyone under 60....is that it? I haven't been considered a "Youth" in a while.....thanks!

Ted Kennedy isn't someone even the older Democrats give a rats ass about. They remember when he ran away from the chance to run. I don't think you are considering what he hasn't done that democrats remember.

Actually, people in their forties and fifties also will be more easily swade by Ted Kennedy's endorsement.

I think, more accurately, they suspect he'd catch a bullet if he did run. Whether that's true or not Ted Kennedy has more pull among the older REAL Democrats than you D.I.N.O.'s realize.

Pesonally, what irritates me about Ted Kennedy is his attack on wind power when it was put up eight miles out to sea of Nantucket Sound. You're other an environmentalist in your own backyard or you're not green at all.

This 44 year old long time Democrat will not be swayed by Mr. Kennedy.

That is a possibility with any public personality and a cowards excuse...did he use it? Probably. Did people think it? Maybe. Did it happen. No.

He' a fat drunken old man broken and ruined by the controversy of driving a car off a bridge and leaving a girl to die! People remember those things. Fuck Ted Kennedy!
