McCain, Clinton Lead Delegate Count
Title
McCain, Clinton Lead Delegate Count Link The Associated Press: McCain, Clinton Lead Delegate Count ----------------------------------------------------- Excerpt By STEPHEN OHLEMACHER – 5 hours ago WASHINGTON (AP) — Sen. John McCain jumped to a commanding lead in the Republican delegate race over Mitt Romney on Super Tuesday. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton edged ahead of Sen. Barack Obama in the race for Democratic delegates. McCain won 420 delegates to 130 for Romney and 99 for former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee in incomplete results. A total of 1,023 delegates were up for grabs in 21 states. Overall, McCain led with 522 delegates, to 223 for Romney and 142 for Huckabee. It takes 1,191 to win the nomination at this summer's convention in St. Paul, Minn. Clinton led with 395 delegates to Obama's 357 in incomplete results. A total of 1,681 delegates were at stake in 22 states and American Samoa. Overall, that gave Clinton 656 delegates, to 559 for Obama, with 2,025 delegates required to claim the nomination in Denver at this summer's convention. The AP tracks the delegate races by projecting the number of national convention delegates won by candidates in each presidential primary or caucus, based on state and national party rules, and by interviewing unpledged delegates to obtain their preferences. In some states, like Iowa and Nevada, local precinct caucuses are the first stage in the allocation process. The AP uses preferences expressed in those caucuses to project the number of national convention delegates each candidate will have when they are chosen at county, congressional district or state conventions. Her lead is less than it was and the polls are steadily turning for the worse against her. Obama won more delegates overall, and appears to have won the popular vote.

That's only because you haven't dealt with the lingering aftermath of Romneynomics. Thsi state is still paying for the Salt Lake City Olympics [yes, you read that right, the state of Utah paying off the mess that was suppose to be just the city's deal].

It's bad enough for Hillary now that she's writing checks to herself. It's true McCain's people likewise had to work for free for awhile, but then again McCain always performed best when everything stood against him. Hillary doesn't have that type of electoral survivalist mentality nor guerrilla campaigning skill.

update on the numbers, ahem, clears voice:
Obama leads Clinton by only 2 delegates WASHINGTON - Three days after the voting ended, the race for Democratic delegates in Super Tuesday's contests was still too close to call. With nearly 1,600 delegates from Tuesday contests awarded, Sen. Barack Obama led by two delegates Friday night, with 91 delegates still to be awarded. Obama won 796 delegates in Tuesday's contests, to 794 for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, according to an analysis of voting results by The Associated Press. In the Republican contest, Sen. John McCain had a commanding lead in the race for delegates. Nearly a third of the outstanding delegates are from Colorado, a state where Obama won the popular vote. California, a state that Clinton carried, had 20 Democratic delegates still to be awarded. Neither state expected to have complete results before next week. Obama leads Clinton by only 2 delegates - Yahoo! News

We're getting as bad as the media with our speculation.
If we believe that we are better off choosing a nominee sooner, rather than later, any suggestions how we do that? Also, anyone want to guess who McCain will begin aiming at? Will his campaign affect democratic primaries?
