I have no idea, all I can do is look at the states left and take a guess. It doesn't matter to me who wins. Either one is about as acceptable as it gets in American politics.

maybe today's primaries, and the ones to come in the next couple of weeks, will help clarify who the majority of voters think is the better, stronger, candidate. i sure hope so, because this election is too important to hand to someone just because it's "her turn".
Also, if she's going to take credit for anything that happened in Bill Clinton's administration that disqualifies her from the presidency due to having had two terms already.

Conventional wisdom is frequently less wise than it likes to think.

We are speculating about things we can't know. The people who make big dollars interpreting polls have missed their mark frequently recently.

It's my belief that the republicans would prefer running against Obama. I think he'd be easier to swift boat. They'll definitely play the race card.

I don't believe they have any idea how to run against Hillary in the general election. There's only two kinds of shit they can throw at her; old shit and made up shit.

If Obama gets the nomination, I absolutely hope I'm wrong. We may know soon.

It is important to remember that if either of these two are elected president, aside from the senate seats they vacated, the make up of the congress will be identical to what it would be if the other had won.

Have you been listening over the last two weeks at all? They are pushing with everything they have for Hillary so they can run her into the ground.

What is happening is exactly the opposite of what you are saying here.

My reply to this is exactly what Eric said, what is happening is the exact opposite of what you describe here. Only I believe that Clinton can be easier swiftboated than Obama. Let them try to make up Muslim ties, or whine about inexperience, neither of those are going to sway anyone that isn't already looking for a reason to hate Obama.

If Fucking Karl Rove says that Obama will be the weaker candidate then I want Obama.

If Fucking Rush Limburger and Ann Colter say they are going to pull for Hillary then I don't want Hillary.

There is a whole world of reasons I like Obama over Clinton, but when these scum-buckets want to back Clinton it tells me Obama is the right choice.

Could that be WHY they announce their support of Hillary, that is the question. Are high-profile, low-brow Republicans typically so opinionated about Democratic candidates during the Primary Season? I don't know, I'm asking.

You surely recognize that, if Clinton wins the nomination despite Obamamania, she will be viewed as more polarizing than ever.

We are at war/in occupation of a country that has disdain for women. The swiftboat with Muslim emblazoned on the side can and will be angled at either one of them...him, because he is the pinnacle of an Islamic Mission to dominate the West; her, because she is a woman disdained by our enemy. Her weepy side? Picture a tearful Clinton juxtaposed with a mushroom cloud...'Ready to lead a country maybe, but not ready to command an army.'

Not right to command an American Army fighting Terrorism-linked-so-regularly-with-Islam-as-to-suggest-there-is-NO-other-group-resorting-to-the-T-word will also be used against Obama, of course.

Of both Clinton and Obama, I would suggest this for consideration, as well.

Hardnosed, hardright neoconservatives are twisted and unethical, but they are also pragmatic. In the event of a non-Republican landslide, for instance, it would be impractical to tamper with the vote count.

Notice all the hoola-hooping to stave off further economic downturn under Bush. How much shall we lower the interest rate today? Your "relief" checks are in the mail...in a few months, closer to the the general election.

Many credible people believe the economy will worsen considerably. The stock market is expected to be volatile through 2012, conveniently coinciding with a hapless one-term presidency.

When you look at the ridiculousness of the crew of misfits the Republican party fielded as candidates, it becomes reasonable to wonder whether...given America's sudden hostility to government, ungrateful buggers...they mightn't PREFER to let the Democrats take the helm for four years of fallout from the Bush Administration.

In concert with a Congress that we have no reason to expect will be any more effective than it has been these last many years, Republicans will be in an excellent position to triumph in 2012 AND 2016...assuming certain end-of-the-world scenarios haven't materialized.

Pick your scapegoat...a woman or a black man.

I just heard Rove again this morning, he hit Obama with everything that I'm sure we'll hear in the general election. No experance, one term, he even went back to the last time Obama lost an election in Illinois, as if that has some presidents here. No, I think they are very afraid of Obama. They know exactly how to work Clinton.

I don't think the usual scum-buckets typically get a chance like this. In the last election for example, who could pick a front runner to trash or get behind in an effort to derail, among the bunch of losers the Democrats paraded out there? I almost wish Clinton had been in that race instead.

I think they are afraid of blacks. I think that's why they lock so many of 'em up...and strip them of their vote and right to bear arms.

OF COURSE, they know how to work Clinton. They've been working women for centuries.

Blacks, too, truth be told.
