Actually, we've got this insane false caring for children. People care greatly about children, just not necesarrily their own.

This is reflected by the aforementioned over-non-reaction by the Dallas DA with this intrusive, illegal, and ultimately useless new rules. One 12-year old equals rights trampling and further government intrusion.

Once you're 18, fuck your health, wealth, and status unless you've got $. Unless you're brain-dead on a feeder-tube, then you gain rare attention.

After retirement, you gain automatic entry into a powerful special interest group that's PR friendly.
