Not bad at all in my book guest. This type of post has become the norm as of late.

I'm not excusing what they did. It was criminal, but you've hated cops (good or bad) for as long as I've read you.

Nor am I, but cops are human. and humans act in a mob mentality, even if that mob is all police. There are factors that people should take into account, not as an excuse but an explaination. One, high speed chases elevate adrenalin levels. It can't be avoided. A solution? Don't have the cops with elevated adrenalin levels actually takwe the suspects into custody. Easier said, I know, but calmer heads might not have beat them into the hospital.

Secondly, there was a Philly cop killed three days before this in a armed robbery attempt. They were pursuing shooting suspects, think that played into adrenalin levels and over reaction?

Again, there are many fine officers, just as there are many bad cops. It's funny but the only officer showing any restraint is the K9 cop.

Bornright, you HAVE to concede that brutality and other iffy/dicey/not right practices among law enforcement not only occur, they seem to be on the rise. There ARE bullies run amok in law enforcement. A mother of three who was handcuffed behind her back with the handcuffs shackled to a bench was "officially" ruled to have probably accidentally strangled herself in a holding cell in the Phoenix airport. Yes, she was drunk and belligerent...so we let her accidentally die in police custody?

Another drunk and disorderly woman, this one in a Florida interrogation room, has a busted up face AFTER the surveillance camera shows the police brute turn off the surveillance camera, whereupon the man in uniform says that she fell.

It's outta hand.

On the flip side, liberals should sit through ONE Parents of Murdered Children ceremony before they are so quick to defend criminals. There are people who rape and sodomize and dissect and cannibalize other humans for fucking sport in a society that saw fit to save money, under Ronald Reagan, by literally throwing the loonies out of the asylum.

There is a whole sub-culture that transacts business pretty much at gun point.

Law enforcement, like the teachers of our children, should be handsomely paid...AFTER they are carefully screened.

These are positions that should command greatest respect and appreciation but here, in America, it's the opposite.
The truth is there are some that get through all the screening and are overly aggressive but we should not be so quick to jump to the conclusion that this is the case from such a short clip.

I have seen major changes in the violence an officer was allowed to put out. When I first got into law enforcement it was said to us that if someone resists or attempts to strike you put it on him serious enough that he never tries such non-sense again. That changed to "use the least amount of force neccessary to make the arrest". I rarely had a partner and never seemed to have any help near which sometimes made the least amount of force neccessary more dangerous. Police feel pain and die just like everyone else. I on one hand do not believe in beating anyone just because I have the ability but I do believe in an officer defending himself and carrying out his duty.

You can make nearly any aggressive arrest look over zealous. The officers want to go home each day to their family. It is better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6.

I come to my conclusions based on my life experiences. Ive had encounters with very nice and helpful police officers who got me out of a few jams, i.e. helping me keep my car from getting washed away by the tides at the beach. But most of my encounters with police officers have been extremely negative. Funny how a broken tail light leads to being pulled out of my car, being frisked, made to lie on the ground while they run my ID, then made to take a brethalyzer test, and then let me go when they didint have shit on me.

One time I was simply walking down the street and some cop cars pulls up in front of me on the sidewalk, and the guy out of the blue is like 'do you have any drugs or weapons on your person?'

Another time a cop car chased me and a friend down a dark alley just to make us run. Then they just yelled some shit at us and drove away.

Then of course there are lying sack of shit highway cops. They make up outright lies about speeding charges. I was going 75 in an 80, he says I was going 95. Just a few miles enough over the speed limit to for me to not qualify for a driving defense class. Huge fine, jacked up insurance rates, all for a lie.

Ive never been beaten by cops, but I know plenty of people who have. I guess it helps to dress nice, drive a nice car, and come from a upper middle class family. They know youll have a good lawyer. But for some of my less fortunate comrades, they havnt been so lucky and they have caught beatings.

Maybe because any aggressive arrest is overzealous. Funny how many black men that have run ins with the cops wind up being carried by 6, while 12 white men let the murderers go free. Sean Bell for example.

and if you ever were a cop, you are certainly the type that deserves the monicker PIG!
