Exactly............. I go kayaking just about 15 miles south of here & in the summer time there was water flowing there year round.. (The last undammed river in the sierra nev range)... Last ten years or so there is no flow, eventhough there is water coming down from the foothills...... I have some land up there on the north fork of the COnsumnes river & there is water running year round..... They pump the aquifer so far down that it just runs into the ground as it hits the valley floor....... But they keep on building eventhough the present rain is not enough to maintain the aquifer........ Plain stupid..........
