Only very slightly......and only short term. It won't even last the whole summer.

We need relief right now and off shore oil drilling is for the future (I guess the waaaaaaaay off future). So I would say this is a better reason to bomb Saudi Arabia than we had to attack Iraq.

You can pick up a used compact for 5K or less that will get 35 mpg easy. We can carpool or use public trans. Unfortunately these are the only kind of solutions that offer immediate relief. Drilling our seashores won't give us a drop for years.

Look back at how our citizens sacrificed in WW2. That's the kind of thing we need to do now. I do realize this is going to be way harder on some than others and the poorer we are, the harder it hits.
