To me it's hard to justify paying the exorbitantly high cost of imprisoning somebody who has murdered other people. Why should we pay for that? If someone in my family was every murdered I sure as hell would say fuck you to anyone asking me to pay for their incarceration out of my own pocket. And like it or not, that's exactly what they are doing.
It costs much, much more to execute than to incarcerate.
Plus, dead men can't make license plates.

The victim's family would feel worse if later, after celebrating the demise of the murderer, they find out they were celebrating prematurely. I've also noticed that at life without parole sentences, victim's families seem to be okay with it.

I also don't hold victim's families opinions as unbiased enough to warrant killing people over.

The cost would be much less of an impact if we didn't have vice criminals in the system, either - but thats another story.....

I dont believe in the death pentalty. I just consider it to be barbaric

But I do believe that if a man is convicted of murder, the family of the victim should be able to choose between incarceration or death....but if they choose death, they have to pull the trigger. throw the switch, or pull the lever. Taking a human life should not be sanitary or hidden. If you want a man to die for killing someone you love....then YOU do it.

They still have public executions in Iran, and I dont care one bit to be anything like Iran.

In China, they have mobile execution units.....

This lady is being hauled away to be murdered by the state.

Right you are; I did. Another reason for me to avoid buying Chinese krap as much as possible, hard as that now is... amazing how the almighty dollar trumps all morals and ethics when it comes to dealing with these barbarians

Did you see the photos of the tibetan girl being executed?

I wont dare post them here, but it's simply awful.

It baffles me too why we don't have sanctions against them. How is Cuba any worse?

excellent point.
China's gov't is barbarous - but they buy our bonds, and we buy their krap. Like you said -that's the answer.

Right, cuba has nothing to offer us.

So for the most part, all our posturing about human rights is all for show.
