I wont dare post them here, but it's simply awful.

It baffles me too why we don't have sanctions against them. How is Cuba any worse?
We don't have sanctions because A) they make everything we buy, B) they hold so many of our government debt, and mostly C) we execute criminals too.

Powerful link, BTW.

You guys must be kidding.

China executes +10K people a year.

No other country can even compare to that.

The power of trade and debt are foremost on our government's minds.

Plus, we share the 'government that murders its citizen' human rights violator list that China is on so the UN would make life miserable for us from a PR POV.

As long as humans are the greedy, take the easy way group of mutated apes that we are, I don't see things changing until another miserable little hell-hole for the common person takes over the 'We Make Everything Rediculously Cheap' market that China owns outright now. Then we'd have to stop murdering citizens of our own.

Chinas human rights violations when taken as a whole with the financial strategies they are employing against the west are definitely disturbing.

They pump out cheap products made with slave labor, and then we BORROW MONEY FROM THEM to go and buy the stuff. Encouraging our adversaries to benefit disproportionately from the inhumane policies that we won't dare emply ourselves. Bad fucking idea.

The Chinese wrote "The Art of War", and they are following those principles to a "t", while our governmental strategists (apparently) completely ignore it.

Nothing better than leverage over your adversaries.
"The best is to win without fighting."

Now, the argument has been made that they NEED us to buy their shit, but to me this is like saying the pusher needs the addict. (perhaps, but the addict is also the pusher's bitch, really.) Leverage.

Hmmm. Did Saddam and Udai have a killer RV like that? One principle in "The Art of War" is how beneficial it is to have your enemy involved in long, drawn out occupations far from their home, as it drains their armies of resources and morale.

I would agree with that to an extent. But if we stopped buying their lead laden Hannah Montanna dolls tomorrow, I wonder how long it would be before they really felt the effects?

They OWN a substantial portion of our economy right now, so I'd say that the US would be the first to blink.

Who was it that said "communism will conquer the world without firing a shot"?
