Even if you ignore the fact that it was a shitty thing to do to his wife, the reality is once it got out his chances of getting elected would've been slim to none. Giving McCain a free pass to the white house and another 4 years of Bush's policies.

Hell, you never know, man. Bill got a huge boost when he...um...got a huge boost...

JFK was getting some on the side and he was damn popular, too.

What are the steps? Denial, rationalizing, anger et al... Yeah, I'm in denial...

This would have been a terrible let down for those of us who want something better than what we've had the past eight years
For some reason I keep getting hung up on his humiliating a wife
1) who had lost a child and 2) who is battling cancer.

But you are right -- the bigger picture is his judgment. HuffPo
was hinting at this back in November. Huffington Post, not The Enquirer. The story was pretty much dead for
six months or so. What if Edwards had received the Democratic
nomination and and all this had broken shortly before the convention?

I always wondered why John Kerry was so quick to endorse Barack
Obama.

Tell that to the people who would have voted for McCain instead

I could give a fuck what he did, or even if he "covered it up".

Your boss at work has far more influence over what happens in your life on a day to day basis, yet he can opt for the "none of your business" reply, and you'd actually accept and possibly respect that stance. You still like him, do what he says and if he's good boss he does his job well.

We want it oh so many ways, including both, mine, yours, and all of our ways.

So what's the big deal that he "covered it up",when it's none of our business anyway? All he did was not come out with a full disclosure or admit to what is not a criminal activity. Do I really want to know that Barrack Obama likes to jerk off with a Batman mask on? No so if it's found out he does, and just says "no comment" how does that make it different? Because he won't admit to something I myself say doesn't matter?

That's the problem with us, we're looking for "heroes" and the ones we think that exist are the one's who only portray themselves as that.

I feel really bad for his wife..She surely has got enough problems

And as for him..That was an extreme act of dishonesty to his wife..to his party..to his financial supporters, and to his countrymen..Make me wonder now if he could be trusted as Pres, and he was one of my choices for Pres..I share Comics sentiments..Damn!!

I guess the difference is that Clinton didn't have a wife fighting cancer when it happened. There's just no way I can look at this and not think about Elizabeth.

I agree, man.

I really thought he was better than that.

But, in moments of weakness, we do shitty things. Not an excuse by any means. I just really thought he was better than that.
