Joe Scarborough says he did it, Pat Buchanan did it, but funny,
neither of those two made out of being talking heads. Ooops.

Apparently, they now have a staff member who admits this.

Gee, a question about global warming. Wouldn't that have come up all by itself?

On another thread, there are posts about the issues that are not being discussed in the debates andother forums, blaming the candidates for the questions asked.

I'd like to know the entire context of this. Maybe all the preceeding questions had been on Iraq, and the staffer thought changing the subject would be helpful.

Strangely, the reports I saw last night were all phrased: "It's been reported..." or similar.

Another mountain made of a reported molehill.

It would certainly be easy enough for a supporter of another candidate to simply say this happened, would it not?

This is what I call "premature reporting". Unless the alegation is supported by investigation, we are all better off if it is not reported.

My opinion.
I bet if it was a repub candidate you would not mind @ all...........

I'm a bit confused. I'm not a Hillary supporter but what is the big deal if a member of her team gave a reporter a question to ask? It's not exactly the most time honored tradition of getting your point across but so what? It wasn't illegal, or immoral or really, for that matter, unethical. A candidate's staff wants a specific topic broached during a press conference and gives that question to an audience member to ask. Did they force the woman to ask the question? Why is this so newsworthy?

Because it is an attempt to manipulate the topics discussed.

If you stack all the time allotted towards questions and info
YOU want presented, it squeezes out time for questions that
others want to ask.

Now ONE question is not likely to do that, unless your answer
turns into a speech or you are John Kerry, but it puts a slimy
sheen on something that is supposed to be a FREE exchange
of questions and answers, not slanted toward catapulting
the propaganda.

It is their attempt to slip it in, without making it look like it
matters so much. It's sneeky.

If it is something they want to outright present,
then in a press conference or speech is where it
should be.

I agree with every point you made here. I guess it just seems like a minor transgression that is being inflated on a slow news day. "Here, ask her this question." I guess you're correct, it is definitely a form of manipulation but isn't all of the campaigning? To me, not voting on the AG was important, this is just politics as usual, no big whoop.
