That has to be the funniest thread title I have ever seen. I
haven't even read the story -- my mind is too busy being entertained by the images the title evokes.

I had to google it after reading this blurb in the 'QT' column of The Chicago Sun-Times':

News Headline: "Chihuahuas provoke baton attack on nude beach."

There is probably an interesting story behind that.

In as much as I hate Chihuahuas...

I think we should start a movement to acknowledge that this activity is prevelent among some really stupid people...

The "STOP THROWING THE DOGS" campaign

I'm not far from the Democratic Convention... I could print the signs and stand with the other protesters!

Speaking of Chihuahuas I had to mention this story...

Down in Florida, my wife worked at HomeDepot as a Project Coordinator for the At Home Services Installation branch. A lot of the installers ran their own business and contracted with Home Depot. One of the installers told us both this story one night and this guy wasn't the type to make shit up. He was completely serious and he said he had the paperwork from the lawsuit at home to prove what he was telling us. Anyway here's his story...

He was scheduled to deliver and install refridgerator at a customers home. He finds the place and as he's approching the door there's a dog barking from inside the house. An elderly lady answered the door with this chihuahua barking like crazy at her feet. He asked if the dog was ok if he were to come in and the lady said that the dog would settle down. So he walks in and takes a few steps when the chihuahua practically jumps on his leg and starts biting him. Well this happened in winter in Florida and there are quite a few homes with fireplaces there. This was one of them and apparently there was a pretty good fire roaring. So the installer freaks with this dog attacking him so he kicks his foot to shake the dog and well... the dog flew right into the fireplace. Apparently on fire runs out this little dog while the owner is about ready to pass out. So he grabs the first thing he could find which was a pillow on the couch and attempts to "put the dog out". At that moment the owner had a heart attack and fell to the floor. Luckly the ambulence got there in time and the woman didn't die. Unfortunatly the Chihuahua did.

So after the trial the lady won punitive damages, the guy lost his business and he now drives a beat up old truck with a bumper sticker that says "Chihuahua Killer"
