Excellent shot! You were really close...he must love his bread! All these shots make me feel bad/guilty because I have yet to go out and really start shooting with mine. I just learned how to take a manual shot very recently and never bothered to take another one after that

On a side note, someone mentioned that if squirrels didn't have their bushy tails they would resemble a rat...not many people would think they're cute then

Nice pics! Those Northern/Western squirrels have so much red on them, wow. Now that Tampa squirrel (gray) is what I'm used to.

My neighbor used to feed the little buggers every day. He was a tough old guy around 75 years old. One day the squirrel came down the tree waiting for his daily nut but a Monty handed over the prize a car drove by and scared him. The squirrel meant no harm but their little claws are as sharp as razors. The squirrel pulled back and cut Monty`s thumb to the bone. I tried to get him to go the hospital but he just wrapped some duct tape around it and said it would be fine. As I said, the squirrel meant no harm, but a lesson was learned.

I had quite the collection of Reds, and Greys. I started putting whole corn out for them so they would lay off the bird feeders.

All was cool until last spring, when the Red Squirrels ruined a few of the bonsai that I've been working on for years.

No corn this year, but I save the seeds from the squash I eat, and leave it out for them.
