I'm glad you didn't tamper with 'em Danny. They are gorgeous, and that blue just makes me colder looking at it! *shiver*

Funny how colours can genuinely make us feel warmer or colder or happier or sadder.

Believe you me the advertising industry uses the crap out of color to sell, sell, sell too. They know every trick on fooling the eye and the brain on the buyer.

That's why Wells Fargo bank changed their colors from black and red to more safer colors. They kept getting robbed! Black and red are agressive colors. By the way, beautiful pictures. I wish it would snow here for just a bit. All we get is rain.

The "Blue" in your shots meant your camera measured the prevailing "Kelvin" color temperature, which more than likely was about 8000 degrees Kelvin, "Normal" Kelvin being about 5500 degrees (white).

Your digital camera is likely capable of auto white balance ajustments, rendering the scene as your mind remembers it, as opposed to imposing its own "memeory" on the scene.

Check your camera/owner's manual on how to set and use its white balance features.

Nice shots nonetheless.

Would this explain why my digital camera cannot take a correctly colored image of my fireplace? The orange imbers come out pinkish and washed out. When I take an image of the fake fireplace, the colors look the same as in real life.

Look at your owner's manual (or toggle your way through the white balance settings) and check to see when you're indoors under incandescent light whether you can't change the white balance to "indoors" (usually a light bulb icon) or "automatic".
It reads as if your camera is not set to "automatic" or the light bulb icon.

On my digital point and shoot cameras (Panasonic FZ20 & FZ30) and/or Olympus E500 & E510 DSLRs, all can be operator set for the lighting conditons you are in.
