No, mine haven't begin the mating yet, as they are all still "arriving". Last year I had about three dozen, so far four have shown up. I feel they are returning because when they first showed up they zoomed right to where I had a feeder on the porch post (which wasn't up yet this year).

Thanks for the camera tip! I have forgotten so much about photography, and I am new to digital.

DEEEZ is teaching me stuff about my digital I didn't know. I confess that everytime I start reading that manual I get a headache. :P

The dig cam I have is about a hundred years old (I think there is an abacus in it) -- but if/when I ever get another one, it'll be a deluxe model, simply for the A and S auto modes...

I love this Nikon. It doesn't get any easier, and I love the results! It's almost idiot proof (me).

Puhleeeeze! My new one has an encyclopedia! I still can't get the darn thing to stop burning the toast.

There are so many features that I will never use. I still have to try to understand them though...just in case. I prefer to go fully manual, because I'm stubborn, and in many cases I want a desired setting.

As silly as it sounds, I have to learn the auto modes. Many times I would be better to do so, as it is far quicker, and somewhat idiotproof.

I hate this auto focus. It always seems to have something other than my subject in mind. Practice, practice, practice. I can't wait for the weather to break.

And yes, I believe you get the same family of hummers each year, just as I believe I do. They seem to know where to look for the (missing) feeders.

Ha hahahaha! Good one. Believe it or not, I took Photography in college using my old Nikon SLR. We shot in B/W and had to develop our own stuff. That was my favorite part. You could really play with the prints and overlay stuff. Of course, that was back when T Rex roamed the Earth.

Well, we might have been photographing the same dinosaurs.

I was doing my darkroom work back in the early/mid 70's. (Highschool)

I couldn't afford a Nikon, though.
