I used to do a lot of B&W work using my Nikon Nikkormat FT2 SLR circa 197-6? with a Micro Nikkor-P Auto 1:3 f=55mm with infinity, a Nikkor-H auto 1:3.5 f=28mm, and my favorite baby, a Vivitar Series1 70-210mm 1:3.5 with macro focusing. This was the camera I used for most of my Grand Canyon shots. I have a room that has yet to be unpacked from our move, and that's where all the boxes of my photos from the past are. Hopefully I'll get to them soon, lol.

Our family had a professional photographer (sister's hubby worked at Cypress Gardens as head photographer), so I was always hesitant to even try to shine. (If you're not familiar with the Gardens...in the past it was *the* place for a great deal of commercial ad work for the likes of Kodak, Pepsi, and the like.) Sadly, a huge corporation bought it and drove it into the ground.

I've never sold anything. I have a few framed for my personal pleasure:

Just pics from around the house.
Excellent shots. you dimish your abilities because these are awesome(from another artist)!
I also sell my stuff short as well but people keep buying my stuff so they can't be all bad...
Here is another from yesterday.

Nice pics everyone!

I had a Nikon D50 up until last weekend when I upgraded to a Nikon D200. I use the 18-200mm VR lens pretty much exclusively. The D50 took great pics though. These were all taken with the D50.

Oh Deeez - I tried out the 5 fps continuous shooting feature this afternoon at the pond. Almost as good as sex.

Brilliant pics! The clarity is amazing! Makes me more excited about my D40!

Though I really wish I knew more about cameras/lenses before I bought mine. I find having 2 separate lenses instead one 18-200mm a huge disadvantage - a) carrying 2 lenses and b)more importantly changing them

Thanks lolli. I had the same problem with the two lenses.

I got a deal at Costco on the D50 right before the D40 came out. They were selling the camera together with two lenses, a 28-80mm and 70-300mm zoom, for a really great price. I used the zoom a lot because I shoot mostly birds and animals that are trying to get away from me, but sometimes it hindered me because I'd have to back up to shoot. Every time you swap out the lens, you expose the inside of the camera, and since I was always shooting outside with wind, dust, etc. it started to become a hassle.

I read great reviews of the 18-200, and I have to say it's lived up to its reputation so far.

When you get your new lens, be sure to get a clear UV filter for it so you protect your glass.

Stunning, as always...glad you made it over here....

Yea...I'm maxing out around 3fps, and usually it's ok, but it is wierd when you're following something in the viewfinder, and all of a sudden you get locked up....

Love the pics....the goose head is funny...

I know - she was upset because her babies were tiny. Ya gotta love a creature that charges up to you sticking out its tongue.

What kind of snake is that in your picture, and was it a pet? It's a beautiful color.

Aw, you're so nice. Hey - I finally saw the thread where you and your Faun bro were discussing this Woodstock outing. I could not for the life of me figure out what you were talking about, but the exchanges have been hilarious.

I didn't have good continuous shooting on the D50, so pushing the shutter and having it fire so fast is wonderful. I haven't uploaded the pics yet, so I'll be curious how well the autofocus did on tracking my subject.
