Squirrelcam

This is the forest i go biking to... Well, not as much biking as falling off the bike.

Somewhere in the beginning of the loop. Some logs.

If Mal falls off a tree in the forest, does he make a sound? Turns out, yes, but it will be censored.

The pain may be overwhelming (plowed the knee cap nerve into bike frame), but the the view is nice...

A bridge too far. What bridge?

A bottomless pit.

Civilized road. There really is a light at the end of a tunnel.

The nutcracker. If you have never went downhill, hit a mud pile, then a bump that caused your fork to contract such that the seat came from behind and hit you in the balls with full force, you've never lived. But you may still be able to have children.

One of my favorites. The seesaw. Feeling of the bike sinking under you is awesome.

Follow the rabbit!

Another great place. You jump over a few logs on top of the hill, go down, jump off a bigger step, hit the brake causing the skid on the rear wheel, and enter the upcoming curve drifting.

I hate when trees are so close together. This is not the worst of them. There's a place where you have like half inch between the tree and a handlebar. Hitting a tree full front is not pleasant, but really no big deal. That's what helmets are for. Hitting a handlebar mauls your hand, and then twists the bike from under you.

Dry swamp bridge. In spring, used to have water. Not anymore.

More swamp.

Crazy jump, that i actually made a couple of times all the way, and a few more half way. Starts out with rocks (can't break due to steep angle), then a plastic panel (can't break due to slippage), then another dive onto half buried wood plank about a foot wide (if you miss, you hit the dirt and skid off into the river), and finally, it leads to a narrow bridge.

You would've been one of the suicidal maniacs who used to go barreling down insanely steep slopes separating the junk yard from the rest of a forest near the street I grew up.

How long is this trail?
