Bambi
So, I leave the house to go grocery shopping. I have a VERY quiet SUV, and I creep up on critters all the time because it doesn't spook them.
I turned out of our driveway onto our clay road, and there's Mom and Bambi standing in the middle of the road. I know to ease to a stop, and I know better than to open my electric windows (noise). These were shot through my very dirty windshield, and they are out of focus, as my poor digital doesn't focus all that great at considerable distance, but I hope you enjoy! ![]() "Sssshhhh! QUIET, listen Junior..." ![]() "What the heck IS that???" ![]() "RUN JUNIOR! It's a MAN thing!!!" ![]() "Huh? Wuh? Mom? MOOOOOMMMMMM!!! (All four of his little feet are off the ground, lol!) ![]() |

Nice pix... I see those bambies almost every day at work - they come by my office window... Nobody shoots them there, so there's a shitload of deer around during the hunting season. They are smart, and know the dates.

Mom looks so majestic in your pic. Gonz.
This girl was obviously getting fed by someone. She would wander up my driveway, and raid my gardens. Last year, she topped all my echinacea just before they flowered. She's fairly tame, as she comes up here where she's truly cornered by my buildings. When I open the door to chase her, she looks at me as if I shouldn't use that tone with her. I had to buy an electric fence to go across my driveway, as she started to bring her son with her. Someone must have shot/hit her with a car, because she isn't here this year. First time in 3 years...my flowers/azaleas don't miss her. I was about 20 feet from her in this pic. ![]()
