It's just west of Harrisburg, PA, mid-state, I guess you could say. I really am still all tingly just looking at the pictures and I've looked at them a gazillion times since then!

The photos are pretty, but the smell...I forgot I was missing it! Or I could never forget it... but it was something SO unexpected and wonderful! I even remembered rocks, missing landmarks like logs and hidden paths. It was such a trip!

You'll probably get mad at me for saying this, and I know I'm painting this picture with a very wide brush, but there are two types of cyclists that I find to be truly dicks: the street riders who ride in packs and mountain bikers (present company excluded ).

Street riders in packs regularly disregard street signs and other traffic control devices because they don't want to slow down. They act as if wearing funny looking clothes gives them the right to tell cars to get the hell out of the way.

Mountain bikers, once they become accomplished, go off trail and make their own single tracks. I'm a firm believer in "tread lightly" and that the damage caused to the trails by this is practically unrecoverable.

Personally, I like to ride alone on the street or bike paths and with at most two other people who have the same respect of the forests as I do in the mountains. For safety reasons, I've never rode in the mountains alone.

I bike as a mode of transportation or recreationally (and for exercise) on trails...there's not forest or mountains where I live. I always bike alone...I'm not into this bike groups or whatever.

For a minute, I thought they let their lawn get really out of control!

Those really are great pictures. I love that kind of scenery and I'm absolutely green with envy.
