Oh, my mother's in St. Louis
And my bride's in Tennessee
So, I'm goin' to Arizona
With a banjo on my knee

I'm the son of the prairie
And the wind that sweeps the plain
So, I'm goin' to Arizona
Just a Rider In The Rain
Cue the Don Henley chorus:
He's a Rider In The Rain
He's a Rider In The Rain
And I'm goin' to Arizona
He's a Rider In The Rain
It's great for the campaign, Wayside. And besides, chicks dig cowboys!

For those who have been asking, there is now a "Rules" link on the top menu bar.

Thank you Eric. IMO, the rules will promote discussion on the merits. That's the real deal meal for me.

I do have one concern:
"Who We Are: PoliticalGroove.com is an online community for Democrats and other progressives. Members are expected to be generally supportive of progressive ideals, and to support Democratic candidates for political office. PoliticalGroove.com is not affiliated with the Democratic Party, and comments posted here are not representative of the Democratic Party or its candidates."
My hope is that this is a place for people who value critical thinking across the political spectrum, which certainly would include Republicans, Liberterians, and the totally non-aligned - and in my case the unhinged. Is this a place where Republicans and "conservative" thought, for example are not welcome?

Try to think of these rules as basic guidelines and something we can fall back on in the event of any real issues we may have with users down the road. These are just technicalities. Overall we promote free speech, healthy debate and we welcome anyone regardless of which party they support.

You will find that I don't run a militant site, my goal with the mods is simply to have coverage, not to play Col. Klink. Most of all, we encourage participation, having fun and the occasional bitch slap between members, just as long as it's not too outrageous.

I admire your effort and your courage. I do question the need for specificity when it comes to the political affiliation of this site. So, if I am reading this correctly, it is not a site without political motivation, it does have an agenda. (In my best Seinfeld voice)Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Then why specificially mention/favor one party versus another?

As Wayside says, "not that there is anything wrong with that."
