Eric,

A question for you. Most of the folks presently on this board are Maher refuges. That board operated without mods. Why do you feel the need to utilize them here?

Interesting, so no threads were ever closed or deleted, members banned or anything like that there? I honestly couldn't imagine that but if it worked then I say more power to them. I mean, what happens when one person ruins every post? They must have means of dealing with that sort of thing.

For me, it's always been common place to have staff on the site for couple of reasons. Early on it helps to motivate those who are promoted to participate and encourage others to join and particpate as well.

Forum coverage is important but not necessarily just to "police" things, again, it's more about participation than anything. Also, we have a mods forum and I can guarantee that there will be way more fucking off in there than actual site discussion, sort of like the bar for mods.

Howerver, when the need arises it's good to have a private place to discuss things.
