She has two options as of right now.

1) try to save face and her political career by being gracious and directed in her attack on mclame.

2) Destroy herself, her party and her followers by dragging this out indefinitely until August.

Even money?

I bet she refuses to give up even when Obama gets the officially required 2024.5 [minus half a delegate for Spitzer's lost of status]. And, yes, I bet she tries, in some fashion, to ruin Obama's chances in the general election. Whether she does so above board by contesting hsi nomination at the convention or if she goes subversive and quietly aids the right wing in by using party connections to fabricate more dirt on him.

And I thought I was cynical!?

I can't see her going that far. I really can't. I think that this is a life-long dream of hers. I think that she is/was so close she could taste it. And through her miscalculations, (eg., Mark Penn) she has cost herself that dream. I can see why she doesn't want to let go.

Yeah she wants it bad, but I don't see her sabotaging Obama, at least not once it's set in stone that she will not be the nominee. Though if she had that Obama/Osama sex tape right now you bet she'd use it.

It's just so odd that she seems to be fighting so hard when the race is obviously over. One that that sent a shiver up my spine was what she said to Oregon voters yesterday:

"If you think you have made up your mind to vote for my opponent, then just wait a little while."

Like, what's she plannin'?
