It's hard to quit a job you love to begin with. Working with a gorilla that is being neglected and given "mad Dog, beer, pot, and meth in pop" was not a job you just walk away from. Especially when you're the only one cleaning his cage everyday unlike your co-workers. That gorilla depended on me for care and unconditional friendship and love. It was like having your child taken away and put in an unfit foster home.

You are wrong about other species. I have seen primates love, fight, play, giggle, and be jealous. Females want to be the dominant female, but can not always be, so spats break out.
