Well what do you expect? Your post seems pretty hostile, but if you had read the rest of the posts you would see I'm arguing for and against both sides. "Trying to find common ground" not "trying to prove either way".

You asked what was thought. I said what I think. Sorry you find my thoughts offensive. I really don't care. I would suggest though that you might want to think twice before you ask for thoughts if you're going to be such a shit when people say them.

Apology not accepted. It apparently wasn't genuine.

You appeared to be going off the deep end, and I said as much. You seemed to be aiming to make the argument against God, when the point of this thread is to find the middle ground.

Accept my apology or not, I said my piece.

Hell, if Djack can put aside his "hostility" towards organized religion I know you can.

But the question still remains, if there is no way of knowing one way or the other if God does or does not exist, why can't the two extremes find common ground?
I'm agnostic precisely because I don't think there is a way to know whether or not God exists.

"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic"*. Which can be morphed to mean "Just because we don't understand how something happens it doesn't mean it was god."

On the flip side, if god could do anything then it could make something appear to be natural so how would we know it wasn't?

I'm not sure if you really need the extremes to meet, what you want instead is to make the middle group bigger to the point that the extremes have little influence.

Well we don't know that it isn't true. We don't know that it is true. Thereby hangs the tale. People who claim they know if it's true or false are the people you have to watch out for.

My exact point which I have stated many, many times. Complete agreement, Djack.

Actually, my "argument" was that the "proofs" provided in the article you linked to are ancient garbage. Go read some Locke or Hume.

As to seeking the middle ground. Won't work. You can't find a middle ground if you object every time someone criticizes what you're claiming.

I think that's enough to say on this matter. You're apparently one of those people that just likes to hear themselves talk and as soon as someone disagrees you come unglued. Well, I've had enough to let you have the limelight.

Did you even read the paragraph before the link??? I know the website in question is VERY questionable. You appear to really want argument for arguments sake. That is my opinion.
